JANUARY BOOK SALE CANCELED

The Friends of the Hockessin Library Board has decided to cancel the January 2022 Used Book Sale due to the resurgence of Covid cases and the increased transmissibility of the latest strain. Our sale requires help from many dedicated, loyal volunteers whom we do not wish to put at risk by asking them to work at the sale. We also do not wish to put our patrons at risk. Though masks would be required, and attendance limited, there are aspects of the sale that would make social distancing impossible to manage.

We hope to re-schedule the sale for later in the year and to hold several smaller sales in the coming months. Please check this website for updates.

There are 60,000 gently used books awaiting new readers. We are looking forward to once again offering you one of the best used book sales in the Country!

Curbside services have ended.
Thank you to all who kept us going through the last year!

The Hockessin Public Library is once again open 5 days a week.
Mon, Tues, Wed 10am-8pm and Fri and Sat 10am-5pm.
We remain closed on Thursdays and Sundays.
More information about the library's hours and services is on their website: nccde.org/hockessin.

Reading Garden Watering
Volunteers Needed

Would you like to spend a quiet hour in the Library Reading Garden helping to keep it looking beautiful with very little effort?

The Friends of the Hockessin Library need your help to water the Garden once a week from July through September.

Choose your week(s) and day and provide your contact information at info@friendsofthehockessinlibrary.org.

A Board member will be in touch with you to explain where to find the hose and how to use the water key.
