BOOK DONATION GUIDELINES

Because of a shortage of sorting volunteers due to the pandemic and the closure of the Lantana Square Recycling Center, we are asking for your help in reducing the number of unsaleable books that are donated. Please do not donate the following:
  1. Magazines and newspapers
  2. Encyclopedias
  3. old textbooks
  4. Technical manuals and books
  5. Books with torn covers, broken bindings and stained or mildewed books
  6. Underlined or highlighted books
  7. Older health or self-help books
  8. Annual issues of cookbooks or holiday books (Ex: Southern Living, Cooks Illustrated, etc.)
  9. Travel guides more than 5 years old, and AAA guides.
  10. Reader's Digest Condensed Books
  11. VHS videos and cassette tapes
  12. Time/Life book sets

How to Donate

SUSPENSION OF WINTER USED BOOK DONATION SATURDAYS

Book drop-off Saturdays for the months of December 2020, January 2021 and February 2021 have been cancelled.

Saturday November 14, 2020 will be the last used book drop-off day for this calendar year. Hours are from 9:00 a.m. until noon at the shed behind the Hockessin Fire Hall on Millcreek Road at Old Lancaster Pike. As usual, please wear a mask and observe social distancing

Please donate only salable books by following our book donation guidelines.
